Modern Lyricism: Artworks by Marc Tremblay

Puzzling and welcoming, crafted by Marc Tremblay presents another sort of current lyricism. Tremblay makes what he calls "computerized sketches": a hand-created, fastidious strategy which brings about profoundly individual pictures that barely appear to be identified with our acknowledged thought of PC illustrations. The motivation he takes from great Greek workmanship looks out in the most startling spots. The palette is delicate yet unmistakably unearthly, with blue-greens, pinks, splendid yellows and blues all whirling. The surfaces are overstated however conspicuous. Tremblay has a light touch and a fun loving tone.

In any case, it is Tremblay's subject — the female figure — that is maybe the most conventional of all his work's components. He exhibits it in movement and very still. He weaves stories and regards the figure as an end in itself. His ladies drift against shady skies and vanish behind shadows. Some look the watcher full on, while others don't have faces. Each one of them is an enchanted figure — notorious, representative, and effective.

Tremblay lives and works in Chicoutimi, Québec, Canada, where he seeks after his enthusiasm for established workmanship.
